It can detect moving objects such as vehicles, and follow them. Embedded video cameras record color videos and its digital cameras shoot high resolutions color photographs, if required, to register events in real-time at theaters.

For agile and aggressive manoeuvres it uses cameras to detect obstacles when flying at low altitudes and navigating in places, which can be tight and demanding.

With the help of its internal sensors and the ones it may drop, its capable of detecting hazardous chemicals and dangerous gases.


Its payload may have sensors to detect radioactivity and sensors with an embedded microphone.

Having the gimbal embedding several cameras it offers real-time video recording and still photos shooting at remote theaters.

It also uses these for autonomous navigation to detect and avoid obstacles while manoeuvring aggressively in tight places »Ξ
yourDragonX yourDragonΞ has several cameras:
three video cameras: one in front capable to tilt and rotate, one in rear shooting backwards and one shooting downwards.

Front camera can also be used to take high resolution surveillance still images.

There also exists still digital cameras embedded. As a helicopter it is capable of providing bird views
and to model objects from several view points and build 3D digital models, if required.

To fly at low altitudes and in tight places it has to be able to avoid obstacles quickly.


For this it uses its cameras, which are shooting all the time creating a picture about the target theater.
It also uses embedded laser sensor to measure distances to objects.

It's capable of using the modern global navigation systems such as GPS and Galileo.
Optionally it may use its mobile phone system to get coordinates from the base,

It sensors both using its internal sensors and the external sensors it has dropped to detect meaningful events and objects at the theater. It may download new instructions and data to dropped sensors.

Filtering of sensor data is done by the base station, which both uploads this new information to the network and downloads for its next missions »Ξ
yourDragonX yourDragonΞ has been specified and designed so that it is capable of taking several sensors as payload.

It may drop new sensors if new areas to be sensored pop up or if the data collected
and analysed from the dropped one indicate that there is need for a denser sensor network.

It can drop smart bobs to sensor underwater events in which case it collects the sensored data from the bob.
It can be programmed to sensor certain kind of targets. By collecting data from sensors to be analyzed
by base station and only at certain time intervals it saves sensor's energy.
If necessary, it may erase sensors remotely.
