Canada deploys Aurora to shore up Arctic claims
ξ A CP-140 Aurora long-range maritime patrol aircraft deployed to the Canadian Arctic
ξ for 10 days in April to collect information to substantiate Canada's sovereignty claims under the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS)
ξ the aircraft was tasked with surveying Alpha Ridge north of Ellesmere Island

ξ The CP-140 Aurora is a four-engine turboprop, long range maritime patrol aircraft built for the Canadian Forces by Lockheed Corporation.
ξ The aircraft type entered service in 1980 to replace the Canadair Argus.
ξ The Aurora is a successful marriage of the Lockheed P-3 Orion airframe
ξ with then modern avionics similar to the S-3 Viking carrier-borne aircraft.
ξ The aircraft's sensors are primarily intended for ASW work but are also capable of maritime surveillance, counter-drug and search and rescue missions.

S&S is a California company interested to collaborate with the Royal Canadian Air Force.

I'd like to know:

1) can Lockheed CP-140 AURORA (http://www.rcaf.com/aircraft/patrol/aurora/index.php ) drop pods ?

2) if yes, could the pod be about the size of MK-83 bombs ?

3) has the Royal Canadian Air Force UAS systems /UAV helicopter or plans to have them ?
~ our unmanned helicopter (Xi) and could be rapidly deployed by Lockheed CP-140 AURORA and a fighter
~ for longer mission our base station (Base4Xi) can be deployed with a manned helicopter, ground vehcile or vessel
~ Xi is capable to drop wireless ad-hoc sensors, which can be embedded inside smart bobs to sensor underwater, if required

As an unmanned helicopter Xi has video and still cameras inside it's gimbal, several sensors embedded and droppable wireless sensor payload,
It's an agile helicopter designed for network-centric operations and flying at low altitudes and manoeuvring aggressively at demanding theaters
while communicating with manned air vehicles and mobile manned & unmanned devices and units.
